In Providence, RI 1965, Nicholas DeCristofaro embarked in the jewelry industry with son-in-law Ralph Fleming. With no knowledge of the success that would come, they soon developed what would be one of the leading jewelry manufacturing companies in America. There were struggles, the gold market went up and the sales went down, but Carla Corp. never lost its footing. The company trudged through the bad times and continues today.
